Privacy policy
This policy explains how Frontridge Media handles information when you use FrankTally and this website.
Information we handle
- Account information: email address, display name, a securely hashed password if you use email sign-in, verification records, and session information.
- Optional provider sign-in: if enabled and chosen, Apple, Google or Facebook supplies account identifiers and the profile or email information you authorize. The provider processes your sign-in under its own policy.
- Contest information: contest names, descriptions, dates, settings, invitations, participant names and opening totals.
- Content and activity: uploaded photos, quantities, eating times, captions, reactions, approvals, challenges, votes and organizer audit records.
- Support communications: the information you send when you contact us, including account or deletion requests.
- Service information: servers and hosting infrastructure may process IP addresses, request times, requested URLs, device/browser information and error details to deliver and protect the service.
How we use information
We use this information to create and secure accounts, deliver verification and password-reset emails, run contests, display standings and photo feeds, process reviews and invitations, respond to support requests, and investigate abuse or technical problems.
Photos and device access
The app lets you select photos to attach to entries. Only photos you choose to upload are sent to FrankTally. Uploaded images are resized and re-encoded for the service. Photos can still reveal personal details in the image itself; avoid including anything you don’t want contest members to see. You can manage photo permissions in your device settings.
Who can see or receive information
Contest participants and organizers can see the information you contribute to their contest, including your contest name, entries, photos and activity. Public contests can be discovered and joined by other signed-in users. A private contest limits access to its members, but members can still copy or share what they see.
Service providers supporting hosting, storage and email may process information to operate FrankTally. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or in connection with a business transfer subject to appropriate protections.
Advertising, tracking and website storage
This website does not include advertising, analytics scripts, third-party fonts or tracking cookies. The app uses local storage for sign-in session information and pending invitations. Authentication services may use necessary session cookies. FrankTally does not sell personal information or use contest photos for targeted advertising.
Retention and deletion
Account and contest records are retained to provide your account, contest history and scoring records. Contest completion, signing out and uninstalling the app do not automatically delete these records. There is currently no automatic age-based deletion of contest records.
You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data. We verify that you control the account before processing a request. Limited records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or protect the service; we will explain any applicable exception and retention period when responding. Copies in backups may remain until those backups are rotated, and copies other participants made are outside our control.
Your choices and requests
You can edit your display name in the app, choose what you submit, manage device permissions, and contact privacy@franktally.net to request access, correction or deletion. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights to object to or restrict processing, receive a copy of your data, or complain to your local data-protection authority. We may ask for information needed to verify your request; do not send passwords or sign-in codes.
Children
FrankTally is not directed to children under 13. Do not create an account if you are under 13 or below the minimum age required to consent to the service in your location. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and arrange removal where appropriate.
Security and service locations
We use access controls, password hashing and HTTPS in the deployed service to help protect information. No service can guarantee absolute security. Information may be processed where we and our service providers operate, which may be outside your place of residence.
Changes and contact
